About

Hello, I’m Işık — an industrial designer based in Istanbul, working at the intersection of material experimentation, small-scale production, and contemporary craft.

My background spans product development, visual communication, and brand design, with a particular interest in how materials and making processes shape the way we interact with everyday objects. Through both academic work and independent projects, I’ve been involved in research, prototyping, and hands-on manufacturing across a wide range of products — from furniture and home accessories to consumer goods.

Püsküllü Saçaklı Dükkan grew out of this approach.
What began in 2020 as a simple attempt to design a stable, easy-to-clean water bowl for my disabled cat, Püskül, slowly evolved into a material-driven brand rooted in curiosity, care, and experimentation. Today, it focuses on handcrafted concrete feeding bowls and small objects that bring a quiet sense of playfulness, clarity, and functionality into the home.

Each piece is made in small batches in my studio, where I take part in every step — from mold making and casting to finishing, documentation, and packaging. It’s a process that allows me to work closely with the raw material, explore subtle variations, and create objects that balance character with everyday usefulness.

Whether through product design or through this independent brand, my practice is driven by a desire to build thoughtful, honest, and durable objects — pieces shaped by both the hand that makes them and the lives they eventually become part of.
