About
Püsküllü Saçaklı is founded by Işık Değer Yüksel, an industrial designer based in Istanbul working at the intersection of material experimentation, small-scale production, and contemporary craft.
His practice brings together product development, visual communication, and brand design, shaped by a deep interest in how materials and making processes influence the way we relate to everyday objects. Across both academic and independent work, he has been involved in research, prototyping, and hands-on production, developing projects that range from furniture and home accessories to consumer products.
The brand began in 2020 as an attempt to design a stable, easy-to-clean water bowl for his disabled cat, Püskül. Over time, this initial idea evolved into a material-driven practice grounded in curiosity, care, and experimentation. Today, Püsküllü Saçaklı Dükkan focuses on handcrafted concrete feeding bowls and small objects that bring a quiet sense of playfulness, clarity, and functionality into everyday living spaces.
Working from his studio, Işık produces each piece in small batches, remaining closely involved in every stage of the process — from mold making and casting to finishing, documentation, and packaging. This hands-on approach allows for a close dialogue with the material, where subtle variations become part of the character of each object while maintaining a balance between expression and usability.
Through both commissioned projects and his independent brand, his practice is driven by a desire to create thoughtful, honest, and enduring objects — shaped as much by the process of making as by the lives they eventually become part of.
